Duty Manager

We are seeking a Duty Manager to oversee aspects of a West London studio's operational activities when on shift. The ideal candidate will be a go getter, who is looking to step up into a management position and who is capable of optimising processes to ensure the smooth functioning of the site's facilities and services.
- Working Hours: 36 hours p/w
- Leave: 25 Days per annum (plus bank holidays).

The Role...
During your shift you are responsible for the smooth running of the club and it is in your responsibility during your shift to supervise and lead the club team by example and in accordance with the highest standards, ensuring everyone around maintains the highest standards, delivers exceptional customer service, communicates effectively and complies with operational procedures.
- Attend weekly meetings/monthly meetings.
- Delivery and implementation of processes in line with the senior management team
- Stock counts and stock management.
- Identify problems and pitfalls where the operations of the club can be performed better.
- Proactively and independently try and solve any problems that occur.
- Report any issues accordingly - to the General Manager, Operations Manager, Marketing Manager.
- Assist in writing operating procedures, training all new staff and implementation.
- Proactively learn, listen and implement any procedures in the club.
- Keep interest of the company above all else at work.
- Supervise and train the FOH team during their shifts.
- Clearly and effectively communicate between the FOH team, Senior management and within the FOH team.
- In the situation where you are unable to solve an issue within your shift you provide a sufficient hand over to the other duty managers from shift to shift and report to Senior management.
- You are required to be discipline and diligent in all tasks are performed.
- You are responsible for delivering the highest levels of customer service and up holding this standard within the team.
- You must record any encountered problems on the handover or raise them if they need to be attended asap. It is the duty managers responsibility to make sure all classes attendees are checked and no shows are emailed in accordance to our cancelation process.
- This role is a management position where you are required to lead by example. You must always act with integrity and lead the junior staff members by example.
- Be solution orientated but also feel empowered and comfortable to reach out to senior staff and ask for support.
STAFFING
(a) Help manage the recruitment process for all FOH employees with the GM/OM.
(b) Growing, Training and developing staff.
(c) Effectively monitor the team performance across each department and proactively follow up on development needs in line with senior management.
(d) Manage the FOH schedule accurately and in the best interest of the business.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
• Proficiency in operational software and tools for analysis, reporting, and process optimisation.
• Exceptional service standards and customer focus.
• Good organisational and administrative skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages (Windows, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
• A confident and clear communicator.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Well presented with good written and spoken English.
• Self-motivated, self-sufficient, enthusiastic team player and contributor.
