Assistant Manager

This brand is looking for an enthusiastic, diligent, and dedicated Assistant Club Manager to join their teams located in The City and Victoria. This role is for an individual with some experience working in a client-facing role in the gym market. They are looking for a new challenge as part of a dynamic team looking to grow as the business expands. This role works closely with the General Manager, supporting the running of two clubs.

The Role...
● Salary: 32,000
● Working Hours: 42 hours p/w
● Leave: 28 Days per annum. (incl. Bank Holidays)
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of PAYG Personal Training charges. This includes but not limited to:
- Ensuring the PTs input their sessions into the calendar weekly & charge them accordingly.
- Keep a record of all PT clients and which agreement/ arrangement they are on member/ non-member/ payment responsibility).
- Chase and settle any outstanding/ failed payments.
- Charge the Schroders PTs monthly and cross-check the calendar.
- Manage the external class instructors:
- Pass their monthly invoices on to our accounts team for payment.
- Be responsible for organising class cover / class updates.
- Manage the stock for both clubs:
- Complete regular orders to ensure we have sufficient stock.
- Oversee stock storage and rotation, completing weekly stock counts.
- Ensure cost effectiveness when placing orders.
- Manage the cleaning standards and appearance of the Clubs:
- Be in communication with the cleaning agency to ensure standards and expectations are met.
- Regularly complete walk-arounds/ spot checks of the Clubs with the FOH team and highlight any areas of concern. Ensuring daily tasks are completed.
- Actively lead by example in how tasks should be carried out.
- Be a present member of the FOH team:
- Take part in teaching classes on the timetable.
- Work on the desk; welcoming members, be knowledgeable on club information, opening & closing the club, carrying out all FOH duties.
- Support with internal & external club activations and sales enquiries.
- Support the General Manager where required and other areas of the business.
The Person:
- This person should be organised by nature and have great time-management. There are various different areas of focus in this role, it’s important the candidate is able to structure their time accordingly to cover all areas.
- This person should be passionate about fitness and the luxury gym market. They should be fantastic at building relationships and positive rapport with the team and the members.
- They should be confident at troubleshooting and using their initiative to handle situations and solve problems.
- They should feel confident offering feedback and guidance to other members on the team whilst also not being afraid to get stuck in themselves and leading by example.
