Facilities Manager

A boutique fitness group with 10 premium sites across London is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to take full ownership of their estate. This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys problem-solving, and can ensure that every site runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The Facilities Manager will be central to maintaining a world-class environment for both members and staff, managing contractors, budgets, compliance, and maintenance across all locations.
- Salary: £60,000
- Working Hours: 40 hours p/w (minimum)

The Role...
Operational Excellence & Site Management
- Take ownership of the maintenance, functionality, and safety of all 10 London sites.
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring facilities are clean, operational, and compliant.
- Manage contractors, suppliers, and vendors to deliver high-quality service and value for money.
- Implement and refine maintenance schedules, preventative checks, and incident management processes.
- Ensure all equipment is safe, fully operational, and serviced according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Lead crisis management on-site and coordinate rapid response to operational challenges.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all sites are compliant with health and safety regulations, fire safety, and statutory obligations.
- Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and inspections across all locations.
- Maintain and update health and safety documentation and policies.
- Train staff in relevant H&S procedures and ensure consistent adherence across all sites.
Budget & Financial Management
- Own the facilities budget, monitoring spend and identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Oversee procurement for all site needs, from equipment and consumables to contractor services.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership on site performance, maintenance, and capital expenditure.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Line-manage facilities and maintenance staff where applicable.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Director, Studio Managers, and wider leadership team to align site standards with business objectives.
- Act as the first point of escalation for operational or facilities issues.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager, ideally within fitness, leisure, or hospitality.
- Strong operational and project management skills, with a hands-on approach.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Confident working independently across multiple sites.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
- A passion for fitness, wellness, or lifestyle brands.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Proficiency in operational software and tools for analysis, reporting, and process optimisation.
- Exceptional service standards and customer focus.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, self-sufficient, enthusiastic team player and contributor.
