This role sits at the heart of a fast-growing consumer challenger brand where social storytelling, grassroots advocacy, and authentic community building are critical to driving digital reach, cultural relevance, and online purchase.
As the Social Media & Community (Ambassador) Manager, you will shape the brand’s social presence, lead content direction, and build a high-performing ambassador programme that transforms fans into advocates and advocacy into measurable sales. This position is perfect for someone who understands that social media today is about connection, influence, and belonging, not just content output.

The Role...
1. Social & Content Strategy
Develop and execute a social strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and growth across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Own the social content calendar, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality, platform-native content.
Spot cultural trends, conversations, and emerging formats, and move quickly to integrate them.
Collaborate with internal teams and external creatives to ensure all content reflects the brand’s tone, values, and visual identity.
2. Content Creation & Direction
Oversee short-form content development with creators, ambassadors, agencies, and internal teams.
Brief and guide video-first content, ensuring ideas are fresh, relevant, and optimised for each platform.
Maintain high creative standards through strong quality control and a clear vision for brand consistency.
Experiment, test, and evolve content formats to continually improve engagement and reach.
3. Ambassador Programme Leadership
Build, launch, and scale a nationwide ambassador programme rooted in authenticity and community.
Recruit and onboard ambassadors across fitness, adventure, outdoors, lifestyle, and youth culture.
Develop frameworks for onboarding, content expectations, incentives, and performance metrics.
Manage ambassador relationships day-to-day, ensuring they feel supported, engaged, and aligned.
Leverage affiliate links, discount codes, and performance tracking to tie advocacy directly to revenue.
Partner with e-commerce and growth teams to align ambassador output with online sales strategy.
4. Community Management & Engagement
Foster an active, positive, and loyal community across all social channels.
Manage comments, DMs, and platform conversations to deepen trust and connection.
Track community sentiment and surface insights to shape messaging, storytelling, and product positioning.
Amplify ambassador content and real customer stories to strengthen credibility and authenticity.
5. Analytics, Tracking & Performance
Monitor and report on social performance, community growth, and ambassador impact.
Analyse performance drivers, identifying opportunities to optimise content, cadence, and channel strategy.
Use data to inform creative decisions and showcase the commercial impact of social efforts.
Adopt a “test, learn, iterate” approach in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with brand, creative, partnerships, and growth teams to deliver cohesive campaigns.
Support product launches, brand activations, and seasonal moments with social-led storytelling.
Align with paid social teams to boost high-performing content and ambassador output.
The Person...
Strategic understanding of social platforms, native content formats, and cultural trends.
1–3 years’ experience managing social media for a brand, creator, or agency — ideally within lifestyle, drinks, fitness, adventure, or youth culture.
Experience building and nurturing online communities or ambassador/creator programmes.
Commercially minded and confident linking social performance to online sales and measurable KPIs.
Strong creative instincts - able to brief, direct, or evaluate short-form video content.
Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple ambassadors, projects, and timelines.
Collaborative, energetic, and thrives in an ambitious, entrepreneurial environment.
